Reden om het familiearchief op te zetten en aan te vullen is om o.a. uit te vinden wat er waar is van de vermeende 17 gulden erfenis uit 1914 van twee broers Claessens uit Antwerpen (toenmalige zuidelijke Nederlanden) die handel dreven op Indonesie ten tijde van de VOC.
