Het doel is enerzijds een zo volledig mogelijk familiearchief van alle Boerkoelen op te bouwen, zowel in Nederland als in buitenland. Daarnaast zo uitgebreid mogelijke familiekoppelingen met andere families als nodig is voor aansluiting bij andere stambomen. Anderzijds gaat het erom voor zover mogelijk achter elke Boerkoel een persoonlijk verhaal te krijgen. Daarmee kan dan elke Boerkoel een persoonlijke familiegeschiedenis met een eigen historisch verhaal realiseren.
