Mijn grootvader Max van Poll was in zijn tijd een bekend figuur. Dat wekte mijn nieuwsgierigheid.
Nadat ik ontdekte dat mijn voorouders tot in de 17e eeuw terug te traceren waren was mijn belangstelling gewekt. De naam 'van Poll' komt niet zo heel vaak voor.
Er zijn vele variaties; Pol (met 1 l), met wisselende voorvoegsels; 'van', 'van de', 'van der', of zonder voorvoegsel.
Ik wil dit familiearchief opzetten om beter in kaart te krijgen waar mijn roots liggen.
