Family archive Heijdendael
Familie Heijdendael afkomstig uit Gulpen en omstreken.
Onze naam Heij(y)dendael is afkomstig uit de provincie Limburg en wel (vanaf ca 1630) uit Gulpen. Maar er zijn ook omvangrijke takken in Aken (Duitsland) en omgeving, en de Voerstreek (Belgie).
De schrijfwijze van onze familienaam kent veel varianten. Hoe de naam precies is ontstaan, weten wij niet.
Er is ook een "Hollandse" tak (Heidendaal), die hoofdzakelijk in Zutphen en omgeving woont. Of deze familie verwant is met de onze, is nog niet onderzocht.
